Letter of Thanks To Parents

EC Parents and Families,

The Georgia Department of Education has deemed November as Parent Appreciation Month in Georgia.  Additionally, November is a time where we stop to give thanks for our many blessings.  As a part of that appreciation and this season of thankfulness, East Central faculty, staff, and administration wants to let our parents and families know how much we appreciate your efforts to support us as we strive to provide the best educational experience around for your student(s).

We all know that the last couple of years have been challenging for everyone!  Parents and educators alike have had to learn, grow, and adapt in order to meet the challenges presented by COVID.  Even during those challenges, the faculty and staff at East Central felt your support even if it was just your flexibility to rearrange your work schedule on a moment’s notice to be able to support your student as they worked from home.  We are THANKFUL for all of those sacrifices.

We are also THANKFUL for the fundraising efforts you made to help raise money for Get Fit EC.  Those dollars raised by our PTO go directly back to supporting our students and teachers through special projects, teacher grants, teacher appreciation events, and various other ancillary support for our school and your students.  We are THANKFUL for your efforts in that regard as well and for all of the hard work from our PTO parents to spearhead those efforts.

Lastly, we are most THANKFUL for the love and support you give your student(s) to help and support them in their journey to adulthood.  It truly does take a village of loving individuals to raise children to be happy successful people.  We are THANKFUL we have you guys as our parents and teammates in this effort!

In closing, the list of things we have to be THANKFUL for at East Central could be infinitely long.  However, our parents are the key to helping us accomplish our continued mission of providing the best education possible for your student(s).  I want to leave you all with a powerful quote from poet Maya Angelou, “Be Present in ALL things and THANKFUL for all things.” The East Central faculty and staff hope you feel our heartfelt appreciation for your support as parents and hope that your family is able to be present and thankful for all things this Thanksgiving season!
