The Rome Middle Academic Team recently traveled to Tifton to compete in the state championship, where they faced off against some of the top middle school teams from across Georgia. Demonstrating impressive knowledge, teamwork, and quick thinking, the team tackled a wide range of challenging trivia questions spanning multiple subjects.
After several intense rounds of competition and fierce matchups, Rome Middle rose to the top—ultimately earning the title of State Champions! Their hard work, dedication, and academic excellence paid off as they proudly brought home the 1st place trophy. Congratulations to the team on an outstanding achievement!

The Rome Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth will be helping with parent coaching. Rome Middle's Grand Illusion and Rome High's Grand Finale Show Choirs invite you to a showcase as a kick off to the 2026 competition season! Join us on January 16th at the RHS Performing Arts Center at 7pm. Tickets will be sold at the door. $10 adults and $5 for students and RCS staff. It will definitely be a thrilling and exciting night!


Big news from RMS...in the Knowledge Master Open, RMS finished 2nd in the entire nation! The Knowledge Master Open is a computerized competition where students work together to answer 100 questions from across the academic curriculum as quickly as possible. So proud of Coach Hatcher and our students!

Parents of current 6th and 7th graders who are interested in STEM for the 26-27 school year. There will be a parent informational meeting on January 27 @ 6:00 in the RMS cafeteria.

We are so excited about our upcoming PBIS event. Students will be able to go ice skating if they meet the qualifications. The cost is $10. Students can give $10, permission slip, and waiver to Mrs. Hindman. A link to pay online has also been sent out through School Status.
